Clean Water is Vital

Masailoo is located 15km from the paved  Lunsar – Makeni Highway in Northern Sierra Leone. It has a total population of about 270 people.  It has 18 Houses with corrugated iron sheet roofs and 8 Wattle structures with thatch roofs. 129 of the total population are children. 55 attend the SHF Richard Kamara School in Rogballan Madina  whilst the remaining 74 are children under five.

There is no good source of drinking water within the community. The people use locally dug water wells in nearby swamps, the stream that passes by and rain water for drinking.

A Landmark for SHF

On 9th August 2023 we transferred €7000 to Malawi to fund scholarships and the construction of a much-needed staff toilet in Geisha school.

This brought the total amount spent in Africa since the foundation of SHF in November 2026 to €755000 - over three quarters of a million euro.

These children in Geisha school will be even happier

More Clean Water in Sierra Leone

We have funded new wells in the very poor communities of Rothasaighn and Mamasa.

Here are photos of the work in progress.

We would like to fund three more wells at €5000 each. Maybe your employer or a rich friend or relation could help?

Construction material is transported to the site.
